BBC Blast is coming to Penzance- at Wharfside Car Park from Thursday 22nd to Saturday 24th July.

BBC Blastis an initiative that offers FREE creative workshops for teenagers between 13-19 years old.

Please see below for a schedule that's going on:

Scriptwriting: Thursday 22nd July, 10-12.15

Create a script from scratch for performance and recording in the

afternoon Radio Play. Learn how to write dialogue and tell a story without

using pictures.

Flash Animation: Thursday 22nd July, 10.30-12.30

Like doodling? What if you could make your doodles come to life on the

screen? Use Flash software to bring your drawings to life and create short

animations for your website, blog, or mobile.

Natural Noise: Thursday 22nd July, 11.00-12.30

Learn audio sampling techniques to turn the sounds all around you into an

exciting soundtrack for film.

Mixed Style Animation: Thursday 22nd July, 1.30-5.45pm

Into animation and want to experiment? This advanced animation workshop

will give you a taste of different animation techniques which you can

combine to produce your own style.

Music for Film: Friday 23rd July, 4.45-6.30pm

Learn the skills involved in composing music to a piece of film from an

industry professional. Working with specially commissioned footage you’ll

be amazed at the difference your own sound track can make to the impact

and feeling of a film!

Film Top Tips: Friday 23rd July, 5.00-6.15pm

Learn how the professionals do it in this top tips session. Find out how

they get the best from their team and equipment to create great movies.

Special FX: Saturday 24th July, 11.15-1.00

Ever wondered how the special TV magic works? How can you make it look like you are floating in space, falling though the sky or sitting on a desert island.. ..experiment with TV special effects techniques in this fun session - no experience needed!
